Morgan Shepherd Charitable Fund Continues Support for PARC Workshop with $30,000 Donation

Dec. 16 , 2008 -- The Faith Motorsports team and driver Morgan Shepherd donated $30,000 to the PARC Workshop in Virginia during the team's annual charity trip Dec. 15. Another $5,000 was donated to needy citizens in Catawba County, Virginia.

Lagina Plumbing is among the sponsors of Shepherd's car, No. 89. The Lagina family was honored to be part of this year's charity trip.

“What a powerful trip to have our family be a part of,” said Jim Lagina, president of the Milwaukee-based commercial plumbing company. “From the start of the day at PARC Workshop and meeting the clients -- many who come to PARC for fellowship and to give their caretakers a break for a day here and there The $30,000 donation to PARC Workshop is especially important since the organization gets no government money.”

After that gathering, the Faith Motorsports team and their guests went to the Rex Theater in Galax, Va., where more than 1,000 people enjoyed music, comedy and a message about the true meaning of Christmas.

“What a day; if you could only see the looks on the faces of folks who received the gift bags, truly thankful for what they had been given," Lagina said. "And to think that it was started by a race car guy 22 years ago – a guy who has chosen to make a difference to people who need the help the most."

Lagina added, that Shepherd “could have written a check and had someone deliver it, but that is not how Morgan handles things. Our family is grateful to have been a part of this trip. We already look forward to going next year.”

Lagina Plumbing to Sponsor Faith in Carfax 250

MILWAUKEE, Aug. 11, 2008 -- Lagina Plumbing will sponsor the Faith Motorsports #89 Dodge Charger and driver Morgan Shepherd in this weekend’s Carfax 250 at Michigan International Speedway. The Michigan race is the culmination of the Milwaukee-based company’s support effort that included smaller associate sponsorships earlier this summer at Milwaukee, Chicagoland, Indianapolis and St. Louis.

“We are thrilled to team up with Faith Motorsports and with a driver like Morgan,” said James Lagina, president of Lagina Plumbing. “This partnership expands our presence in racing, building on the successful Nationwide Series, and enables us to reach even more customers and engage more people in the excitement of NASCAR. Morgan is truly a tremendous inspiration to us and our company. He stands for what we really believe and we are looking forward to rooting him on.”

Lagina said in working with Shepherd and his crew on four previous race weekends he saw the team’s desire to compete at the level of other teams with much larger sponsorships. “Many teams may have additional resources at their disposal yet lack the savvy the No. 89 team exudes,” Lagina said. “It has been a wonderful blessing to have been associated with the whole organization.”

Lagina Plumbing specializes in new construction, renovations and plumbing upgrades. The southeastern Wisconsin company employs the latest plumbing technology at its state-of-the-art facility, including 3D Auto Cad and advanced pre-fabrication techniques.

Local Plumbing Company Helps 89 Team in Milwaukee

WEST ALLIS, Wis, June 22, 2008 -- Lagina Plumbing, a family-run commercial plumbing company based in Milwaukee, helped provide funding for the team’s efforts in Wisconsin this weekend by purchasing a set of tires and feeding the team on Saturday, Faith Motorsports announced.

Jim Lagina and David Turiciano of Lagina Plumbing attended Saturday’s Camping World RV Rental 250 at the Milwaukee Mile as guests of the team.

Jim Lagina said this weekend that his company has much to be thankful for and wanted to help Faith Motorsports promote Christ to race fans.

“We have been blessed through a very tough business climate in our area over the last number of years,” Lagina said. “The one thing that always amazed us is the fact of how faithful God has been to meeting our needs when we trust him for everything.”

Lagina said his company’s reason for getting involved was simple.

“A plumbing contractor in Milwaukee helped in some small way and possibly someone in the stands that race night knew that he or she needed to change their life and it was because the old faithful 89 car was in the field no matter what the odds were,” he said. “Continued success in the 2008 season because what you do really matters for the Kingdom.”

Faith Motorsports would like to thank Lagina Plumbing for its help.
