Design/Build for New United Heartland Headquarters
March 25 , 2009 -- Construction of a new headquarters for United Heartland begins in April, with Lagina Plumbing of Milwaukee providing complete plumbing systems for the 56,000-square-foot, two-story building in New Berlin.
Thew new building is going up near the I-43/Moorland Road interchange, and will replace the workers compensation insurer’s current headquarters on National Avenue in New Berlin. A December completion is anticipated.
Lagina Plumbing is working with general contractor Beyer Construction and developer Irgens Development Partners.

The efficiencies of Lagina Plumbing’s in-house prefabrication shop will help ensure high quality of the new building’s plumbing systems, and will help meet construction deadlines.
The building will incorporate sustainable design and materials in accord with the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards. Lagina Plumbing has expertise in water efficiency aspects of LEED standards.
The design/build plumbing system will encompass the latest technology while following the basics of plumbing standards.
