Lagina Handling Plumbing Work for New Children's Hospital Clinic

Oct. 1 , 2008 – A new 74,000-square-foot medical clinic is being built for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, with plumbing work being handled by Lagina Plumbing of Milwaukee.

The new facility will be named Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Clinics – New Berlin and will be the first clinic at the 35-acre medical office park along Beloit Road near the Moorland Road intersection.

Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital and Medical College of Wisconsin Real Estate Ventures LLC will own the park, while Irgens Development Partners of Wauwatosa will develop and lease the building. C.G. Schmidt is the general contractor, with Bryce Unger serving as project manager and Joe Schmidt at project engineer.

Lagina Plumbing is installing complete interior plumbing systems to handle numerous medical labs in the comprehensive medical facility. Lagina’s work includes installation of medical gas, air and vacuum systems for the pediatric primary and specialty clinic.

Areas of specialty will include allergy and asthma, audiology, and cardiology and pulmonary. The facility will have a full-service radiology department and a four-room sleep lab. There also will be physician and administrative offices.

The clinic is scheduled for opening in July 2009.
