Residents Invited to Meet NASCAR Driver at Lagina Plumbing During June 18 Faith Motorsports Team Visit

June 12 , 2009 -- Residents of Milwaukee’s Layton Boulevard West Neighborhood will be able to meet NASCAR driver Morgan Shepherd during the stock car racer’s visit to Lagina Plumbing on Thursday, June 18.

Shepherd, who drives car No. 89 for Faith Motorsports on NASCAR’s Nationwide Series, will be in town for the Camping World RV Rental 250 at the Milwaukee Mile racetrack, to be held Saturday, June 20.

Lagina Plumbing is a sponsor of Shepherd’s No. 89 car in all 35 races of the 2009 Nationwide Series.

Shepherd, along with his race team and their cars, will be at Lagina Plumbing, 3618 W. Pierce St., from 5-7:30 p.m. rain or shine. Neighborhood residents and business owners and employees are invited to meet Shepherd and the Faith Motorsports team. Shepherd will be available to sign autographs.

Shepherd, age 67, is NASCAR’s oldest and most experienced full-time competitor. He started racing in 1967. Since 1970, he has competed in more than 825 races.
